"Dream Big...Why Not?"

JULIE MORIVA began writing at a tender age.  It started with poems and stories scribbled in notebooks and when, at fifteen, a friend taught her a few chords on the guitar the stories and poems were crafted into songs.  Through determination and a rather incredible story of her own, Moriva is now a professional writer who has written for Big Machine Record's publishing company, Super 98 Music and The Song Factory.  She splits her time between Nashville, Tennessee and her home in a small northeastern Wisconsin town where she lives with her husband, daughter and Chesapeake Bay retriever. Moriva is living her dream, writing with songwriters and artists, who just a few years ago, were the very people she looked to for inspiration.  When time permits she still attends her local Nashville Songwriter's Assn workshop where she served as coordinator for 13 years. Moriva also is an active workshops presenter, has written an inspirational memoir chronicling the journey to her first cut and most recently completed a sitcom pilot loosley based on her life. She loves and collects quotes and keeps one of her favorites inside the cover of her writing journal. It begins this section, but is worth repeating..."DREAM BIG...WHY NOT?"
